Leave a commentLeave a comment

The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is committed to providing easy and affordable access to Canada’s immigration programs. We are responding to public feedback and are rolling out changes to our application process. The Agency has recently made some changes to its telephone services operations, which has resulted in longer wait times for some applicants who call the National Call Centre or make an application by phone.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is committed to providing easy and affordable access to Canada’s immigration programs. We are responding to public feedback and are rolling out changes to our application process.

Applications submitted before October 23rd will be processed according to the backlogged processing times reported by IRCC earlier this month. Please note that these applications may take longer than normal due to backlogs in processing them as well as other factors such as weather conditions in some parts of the country where applicants live or work at certain times during the year.

Canada Immigration is committed to providing easy and affordable access to Canada’s immigration programs.

As we continue to respond to public feedback and roll out changes to our application process, we wanted to provide an update on how IRCC is working toward its goal of making it easier for Canadians to immigrate.

We are committed to providing easy and affordable access to Canada’s immigration programs. In January 2018, the Government of Canada announced that it would be introducing new measures aimed at speeding up processing times for family members who have been waiting more than six months for their visa applications processed (and are not receiving automatic prioritization). These measures will be implemented in phases over three years beginning late 2018 or early 2019 as part of our commitment towards providing even faster access through a modernized system with increased automation capabilities—including user-friendly online tools such as My CRA —as well as automated case management systems that allow us more efficiently manage large volumes of incoming files while ensuring quality service delivery standards remain high across all processes involved in processing applications from both beginning through completion stages including interviews at various points along this journey

We hope that this post has helped you understand the application backlog which is affecting some people who are trying to apply for Canadian immigration. If you have any questions about your application or would like more information about the changes we’ve recently made in our operations, please feel free to contact us at any time. We’re here to help!

Canada announces new investment options for immigrants

Immigrants have more options when it comes to investing in Canada. The federal government has recently announced new investment programs that will allow immigrants to invest in their new country.

Immigrant Investor Program

The Immigrant Investor Program is a program that allows immigrants to invest in Canada. It’s a good option for immigrants who want to invest in Canada, and it has many benefits for them as well.

The first benefit of the Immigration Investor Program is that it will allow your spouse or common-law partner and children under 18 years old who are living with you in Canada at the time of application (if the child is under 18 years old), but not yet 18 themselves, can become permanent residents immediately upon qualifying for permanent residence through this program.*This means that if your spouse/common-law partner doesn’t qualify yet due to age limits (they must be over 18), then he or she could still apply together with his family members once he does qualify! This gives them all access without having waited years like other programs would do. *

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is a province-wide program that provides Canadian employers with the opportunity to hire highly skilled immigrants. Employers must apply for the OINP through their local government and then submit an application to the federal government. Once approved, they can begin hiring eligible applicants from across Canada at no cost to them.

The OINP offers three streams:

  • Skilled Worker Stream – This stream allows employers who meet certain criteria such as minimum wage requirements or employer-sponsored training programs to bring over qualified candidates who hold high levels of education and experience in areas like engineering, technology, health care and nursing fields;
  • Entrepreneur Stream – This stream offers skilled workers who have been specifically identified by their provincial government as entrepreneurs;
  • Targeted Employment Category (TEC) – This category is reserved for those who were previously employed but left due to serious illness or disability

Quebec Immigrant Nominee Program

Quebec is a province in Canada. It has a population of 8.5 million people and is known for its French culture and language. In addition to being the second most populous province in Canada, it also has some of the highest rates of unemployment among immigrants to the United States or any other country outside India or China (both countries are larger).

British Columbia Immigrant Nominee Program

The British Columbia Immigrant Nominee Program (BCI) is open to immigrants who have a job offer in British Columbia and are willing to invest a minimum of $1 million in the Province. BCI provides streamlined immigration processing for individuals who meet these criteria and also makes it easier for them to find permanent residency in Canada by granting them work permits that allow them to live and work anywhere within the province.

Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program

The Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (Nova Scotia) is a new federal program that allows individuals to come to Canada as permanent residents, who will be able to apply for Canadian citizenship after five years.

The province of Nova Scotia is located in the Atlantic Ocean and has an estimated population of about 1.3 million people. It’s home to several universities and colleges which attract international students from all over the world because of its affordable tuition fees compared with other cities such as London or New York City where foreign students often have trouble finding affordable housing options due to high demand for housing units per capita especially during holidays like Christmas Eve when everyone wants their homes decorated but not at exorbitant prices!

Alberta Provincial Nominee Program

Alberta has a Provincial Nominee Program that is designed to attract immigrants to Alberta. The program is available to skilled workers and business people who want to come and live in the province.

The application process takes about two weeks, but you will need to provide proof of your skills before applying for permanent residence status in Canada through this program.

Immigrants have more immigration options now than ever before.

Immigrants have more immigration options now than ever before.

Immigrants have more options now than ever before.

The Canada immigration process is a long and complicated one, but with all the options available to immigrants today it is worth getting started on your application as soon as possible.

Australia expands Pathways to PR for Subclass TSS Visa Holders – Know more

Subclass TSS visa holders can now apply for the Subclass TSS pathway. This pathway allows eligible people to apply for a permanent residency visa (subclass S) in Australia. This applies to anyone who has been issued a bridging visa or an open skilled work visa as well as anyone who has completed their transition period on one of these visas and is waiting for their permanent residency visa application to be processed.

This means that eligible Subclass TSS holders will now be able to apply for a subclass S visa instead of staying on their bridging visas. To find out if you’re eligible, read this guide: https://www.immi.gov.au/australian-visitor/visa-holder-information/subclass-tss

Subclass TSS visa holders on a bridging visa

If you are on a bridging visa and want to continue working, studying or doing business in Australia, there are two ways that you can apply for a Subclass TSS visa.

The first is through the 457 Visa Program. This allows temporary skilled workers (including those with subclass TSS visas) who have been sponsored by an employer to work in Australia for up to four years after their arrival date. The second way is through the Bridging Visa Stream which allows eligible applicants from every state and territory of Australia as well as New Zealand (New Zealand citizens need not apply through this stream).

The Bridging Visas Stream offers three types of visas: Short Stay Business Visitor (SVB), Work Holidaymaker (WHM) and Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme Subclass 560C Special Skills Worker Temporary Residence Permit

Subclass TSS visa holders on an open skilled visa

  • Subclass TSS visa holders on an open skilled visa

A person who is eligible for the Subclass TSS visa can apply for a family reunion. The applicant must meet the following criteria:

o He/she has been granted a permanent or temporary residence in Australia as a result of their permanent or temporary resident status under another subclass (other than subclass S 589), unless they satisfy all other requirements for this subclass but are not eligible to apply; and

  • He/she has been granted humanitarian and compassionate grounds (H&CG) in accordance with section 501 of the Migration Act 1958.

Subclass TSS visa holders on a transitional work program

The Australian government has introduced a new program for visa holders on a transitional work program. This is called the Subclass TSS visa, and it will be available to people who are currently on a bridging visa.

The new system has been created to encourage skilled workers from overseas and their families who live in Australia and are not eligible for permanent residency or citizenship under existing programs such as the Skilled Independent Visa (subclass 189) or Special Category Occupation Work (SCOW).

People who are eligible for a subclass TSS visa can now apply for one of these pathways.

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) has launched four new pathways for the subclass TSS visa.

The four pathways are:

  • Pathway 1 – Professional with a Skill Requirement – Eligible applicants must have a specific skill set and show that they meet the relevant criteria, including English language proficiency and financial capability. This pathway also requires a skills assessment by one of these approved providers: Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA), Australian Skills Council (ASW), or an approved training organisation. The maximum number of visas is limited to 50 per year under this pathway; however, there are other restrictions on who can apply through this path as well as when they can be granted approval to undertake their training coursework/practicums etc., depending on which provider they choose during the application process.

As more people in Australia are coming up against the decision on whether or not to apply for a subclass TSS visa, we hope this article will help you make an informed decision. The information contained here is based on our research and knowledge of the Australian system as well as official sources such as the Department of Immigration website.

Category based selection announced for Express Entry candidates – 6 new categories added
Leave a commentLeave a comment

The Express Entry system is a key part of Canada’s immigration system. The new categories announced today will help employers find the most qualified candidates for their open positions and make it easier for them to select immigrants who will be able to contribute to our economy.

The Federal Skilled Worker Class – Express Entry

The Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) is a new stream in the Express Entry system. This class is open to candidates who meet the required levels of education, work experience and age requirements.

Candidates who have earned Canadian degrees or diplomas from Canadian institutions are eligible for this category. Candidates must also meet the minimum English and French language proficiency requirements set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). In addition, they must also have at least one year’s full time skilled work experience in order to be eligible for an FSWC nomination. *

The new categories include:* Federal Skilled Workers – Occupations that require at least two years’ post-secondary studies;* Skilled Trades Workers – Occupations that require less than two years’ post-secondary studies but more than one year’s full-time skilled work experience;* Business Programmers – Occupations that require less than two years’ post-secondary studies but more than one year’s full-time skilled work experience;* Professionals – These occupations are only available through Express Entry under this stream if you meet all required criteria (i.e., you must have at least three years of relevant work experience).

The Federal Skilled Trades Class – Express Entry

The Federal Skilled Trades Class is for immigrants who have a job offer in a skilled trade occupation. If you are an employer, your company can submit an Express Entry profile of your work experience and skills.

The Federal Skilled Trades Class will be available starting with the 2019 intake.

The Canadian Experience Class – Express Entry

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a new class of candidates who have lived and worked in Canada for a specified period of time. They are eligible to apply for permanent residence in Canada. This class has been created to help Canadians with job offers, professional qualifications or language skills who want to immigrate but do not qualify for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP).

The CEC includes:

  • A maximum age requirement of 45 years old;
  • A minimum residency period of two years;
  • Candidates must demonstrate that they have completed at least two years with full-time employment or self-employment after graduation from an accredited university/college program.

Ontario Labour Market Access candidates in the Federal Skilled Trades Category (LMAC) – Express Entry

Express Entry candidates in the Ontario Labour Market Access category (LMAC) – Federal Skilled Trades Category (LMAC) are now eligible to apply. This new category is based on the federal skilled trades program and will streamline applications for those with work experience in Ontario’s construction, extraction, manufacturing and processing industries.

The LMAC will be available for:

  • Newcomers who have worked in Canada during the past 2 years before applying; or
  • Those who have been living and working in Canada for at least 3 years – including full-time students who have completed their studies; or
  • A parent/grandparent of a qualifying Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has lived outside our borders since Jan 1st 2001

Quebec Labour Market Access candidates in the Federal Skilled Trades Category (LMAC) – Express Entry

The Government of Canada is expanding the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSCTC) to include Quebec candidates in the following categories:

  • Quebec Labour Market Access candidates in the Federal Skilled Trades Class (LMAC). This will allow them to apply under Express Entry and have a better chance of receiving an offer of employment than they did before.

Quebec candidates in the Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSCTC) – Express Entry

In addition to the existing Express Entry job opportunities for francophone, this new category will allow you to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

The Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSCTC) has been added as a new express entry stream under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. The FSCTC stream allows candidates who have lived and worked in Canada to apply for permanent residence as long as they meet certain criteria such as being able to support themselves financially independently and having sufficient English or French language skills. The new categories include open work permits for immigrants who have lived and worked in Canada, who can now apply for permanent residence in Canada.

The new categories include open work permits for immigrants who have lived and worked in Canada, who can now apply for permanent residence in Canada.

The Express Entry system makes it easier for newcomers to apply to stay permanently in Canada. It invites skilled workers and investors from around the world to make their mark on Canadian society by investing in our country’s economy and helping create jobs. The program is aimed at attracting professionals with skills that are in high demand but difficult to fill due to low unemployment levels or other factors such as economic downturns or wars abroad.

The new categories are a result of an ongoing effort by the Government to make it easier for highly skilled immigrants to become permanent residence in Canada. Once you apply for an open work permit, you will be able to apply for permanent residence and start your Canadian career!

Family Sponsorship in UK – Know more about it
Leave a commentLeave a comment

Family sponsorship is a legal process through which non-nationals (non-UK or non-European Union) can get a visa to live in the UK.

Family sponsorship is a very common way of getting into the UK as it lets you bring your spouse, children and other family members with you. In this post we will discuss what family sponsorship involves and how it works in detail to help you understand more about it.

U.K. Immigration Requirements for Family Sponsorship

When you are sponsoring your family member in the United Kingdom, there are a few things that you will need to know.

  • You will need to apply for a visa. To do this, you must first find out if your family member has any dependents and whether or not they would need their own visas as well. If so, then it’s important for them to have one too!
  • You’ll also want to make sure that everyone on board with this arrangement is aware of what kind of paperwork needs doing before departure—and how long it might take until their papers are approved by the government agency responsible for such matters (the Home Office).

Step-parent Visa

Step-parent visa is a visa that allows a non-EU citizen to live in the UK as a step-parent of an EU citizen. The main requirement for this type of visa is that you are married and have lived together for 4 years before applying for it.

If granted, step-father visas will allow you (the applicant) to bring your spouse and children from their home country or other country where they reside with them back into the UK during the course of their stay here; however, this does not guarantee that they will be allowed entry into Britain at all times during this time period – dependant on what immigration rules apply at any given moment!

Stepfathers can apply for residence permits using either:

  • Single Parent Lead Immigration Scheme (SPLIS) approval – where SPLIS approval has been granted by the relevant Home Office department; or
  • Third Country National (TCN) approval – when TCN status has been granted by another national government outside of Europe

Dependent Child Visa

The dependent child visa is a visa granted to children who are dependent on their parent for financial support. Dependent Child Visa is granted to dependents under the age of 18 years.

Dependent Child Visa is granted to dependents who are unmarried and under 21 years of age.

Representative and Agency Providing Services

Family sponsorship is a process that takes time, effort and patience. It is not a one-time thing but an ongoing commitment. The benefits of family sponsorship are immense but you need to be patient with yourself and your family members as well as others around you who will also benefit from this process.

If you want to know more about family sponsorship in the UK, then search our website for information on how best to go about it!

Know more about family sponsorship in UK.

  • Family sponsorship is a type of immigration that allows a foreign family member to live and work in the UK.
  • It’s often used by people who want to join their family in the UK, or those who want to bring over their spouse or partner from overseas.
  • Family sponsorship is a temporary visa, but it can be extended if you’re still working in Britain after five years.

All about Partner Visa – Australia
Leave a commentLeave a comment

If you are a permanent resident and you have a partner who is not in Australia, it can be difficult to get married. The good news is that there is another way! You can apply for a fiancé or fiancée visa, which allows you to bring your partner into Australia with you. This allows both of you to live together before marriage (or at least plan one) and then have time together before saying “I do.”

Step one – Invite your partner to apply for a fiancé or fiancée visa

To be eligible to apply for a fiancé visa, you must:

  • Be married or in a de facto relationship. You cannot live together as part of your partner’s family unit until after the visa has been granted.
  • Be over 18 years of age. If you are under 18, only one parent may accompany you onshore at any time during your application process – this is known as a ‘partner’s derivative’.

You also need to demonstrate that you can support yourself financially and physically through work or study (this will include evidence of an employment contract). Your partner does not need this kind of support if he/she intends staying in Australia temporarily with his/her family members during their stay here; however, it may help them adjust more quickly if they do have financial stability. *Not have been convicted of an offence involving dishonesty (including fraud) within 10 years prior to applying for your visa. *Not have been sentenced by court order for imprisonment exceeding 12 months

Step two – Apply for a partner visa the same way as if you were applying for a visa to visit Australia by yourself.

You can apply for a partner visa in person at an Australian Embassy or Consulate. You will need to provide the following when applying:

  • Proof that you are married. This could be a certificate from your wedding, or even just an affidavit from both parties saying that they are married.
  • Proof of relationship (for example, birth certificates). If one of the applicants is not included in this list, then it must be shown why they should be included or excluded. This may include children born into the relationship, previous marriages and divorces etc…

Step three – Determining your eligibility for the partner visa

  • You must be married to your partner. The visa is only available to couples who have been married for at least two years, or who are in a de facto relationship.
  • You must live together as a couple. The visa is not available if you simply share the same house but do not spend time together outside of it every day; it’s also not valid if you live apart from your partner on a temporary basis (for example, while studying).
  • Your relationship must be genuine and stable, meaning that there is no history of domestic violence between either party or any allegations that one spouse has acted towards the other in an abusive manner over the past five years before applying for an Australian partner visa.

Step four – Entering Australia with your partner

You can apply for a partner visa at the same time as applying for your visa to visit Australia.

You can apply for a partner visa from within Australia.

You can also apply for a partner visa from abroad, if you are outside of Australia at the time of application and wish to enter Australia on this basis.

If you have met and plan to marry, you can apply for a partner visa.

If you are in a relationship with your partner and want to marry them, then it is possible for you to apply for a partner visa. You must show that the relationship between you has been going on for at least 4 years before applying for this type of visa.

To qualify, both individuals must meet the following requirements:

  • They must have met each other within Australia or overseas;
  • They must have had some kind of relationship (not necessarily sexual) with each other; and
  • They must be living together as husband/wife or de facto partners.

We hope you have enjoyed this introduction to ways of how you can come with your partner to Australia! If you’re not sure where to start, contact us at Worldly Connections and we can help.

A report in The Times newspaper has said that the government is looking at a plan which would see an extra £100 million paid into the EU budget each year until October 2022, providing further evidence that London may be willing to pay more money into Brussels coffers than originally planned.

The news comes as Theresa May heads into talks with other European leaders at a summit on Wednesday morning (GMT), where she will seek reassurances about when Britain will leave the bloc and what happens afterwards.

It appears that the UK has changed its visa policies and there is no reason why it should not be seen as an option by Indian students who have completed their graduation and are looking for employment opportunities in other countries in the world.

The United Kingdom is a popular destination for Indian students who want to pursue higher education or work after graduation. The country has a good reputation for education, which includes universities such as Oxford, Cambridge and Edinburgh among many others. It also offers excellent employment opportunities to professionals from across different fields like medicine, law etc., making it an attractive choice for international students looking towards careers within this industry as well as professionals who wish to work abroad but prefer living somewhere else than India due to personal reasons (e.g., language barrier).

The UK is likely to take more measures to ensure the continued residency of all EU nationals who have already been granted residence, as well as those who are currently in the UK. The Irish Prime Minister has said that he will make a final decision on the border issue by October and that it could include free movement between Northern Ireland and the Republic for an indefinite period of time.

Summer is the time of year when we get excited about the weather, the flowers and just being outside.

The best time for Canadians is summer, when they can spend their days relaxing on a beach or at a lake with their family. When you visit Canada during this period, you will feel like one of them! This is because it’s so easy to find places that are open during this season (like restaurants). In addition, there are many activities available such as hiking and swimming in lakes or rivers; all these things make your trip more enjoyable!
